FLM is a nonprofit organization that provides free, long-term mental health support— delivered by senior trauma professionals—to the first and second circles of victims of the October 7 attack.

Liat co-founded the "International school of Kiev for Relational psychoanalysis and psychotherapy" and teaches relational psychoanalysis in various countries.

Her grandfather, Dr. Zorach Warhaftig, was one of the founders of the State of Israel, a signatory of the Declaration of Independence, and a government minister. His journey from Europe to Japan, during which he led thousands of Jews to safety from the Nazi threat, inspired her commitment to addressing Jewish and Israeli collective trauma.

The First Line Med (FLM) project was established in the week after October 7 to provide urgent long-term mental health support by senior professionals in the field of trauma. For many of our patients, the trauma is ongoing. This is particularly true for those who survived the massacre but lost their loved ones and are still evacuated from their homes, and, most importantly, for the families of the kidnapped and the freed hostages.
